As for future posts: I am currently reading Raymond Tallis’ Aping Mankind and though I am 3/4 through it, I can say that I am impressed. My tentative plan is to offer a more thorough exploration of its main ideas – perhaps over 4-5 posts. Most of the reviews out there are too brief to grasp the complexity of his arguments and I think most of the arguments are likely above the head of the casual reader. Some of his positions had me cringing myself – then sifting through the neurophilosophical literature to find counter-arguments to some of his claims. It is changing my thinking. Stay tuned and we’ll see if his arguments might also change yours.
